This entire standard of living will gradually decline and disappointments will grow. Then it will turn into hunger (relative). Then it will turn into all sorts of environmental problems and so on and so forth. In other words, everything will start pushing on a person alongside his attempts to preserve his standard of living or his sense of security for tomorrow. We will still come to a point where he will be completely unsure of what will happen the next second.
People will have more and more problems. We have to show them who they truly are instead of them always trying to change themselves. And this they won't be able to do either. You can't fight nature, so to speak. This is why we must understand where it is that we can find fulfillment, happiness, satisfaction and stop going along with society's current which imposes completely frail objectives which I am forced to somehow achieve...poor me.
In my view, a well-thought-out course based on simple explanations rather than systemic study would be very successful. This course would focus on physiology, human psychology, a person's perception of the surrounding world, how it's fulfilled and in which cases it is not fulfilled and why we can never be fulfilled egoistically.
A. Ulianov:
Here's a question for desert. Let's say we create a series of therapy meetings. What should we aim ourselves toward, practically speaking?
M. Laitman: In short, we must study nature because we are part of it. We are not above nature, therefore, we must learn from it. We are inside general nature. The main law of nature applies to everyone and it is only now being revealed. It states that absolutely everyone depends on everyone else.
Since biblical times, this law was expressed as "love your neighbor as yourself". We must come to this because if we all depend on each other, it means that in order to provide a good future for oneself, we must find some means to unite correctly so it benefits all. Nature will force us toward this as right now we are in complete opposition to it.
Nature is absolutely good and as such, it created this living organism in complete harmony with it. You know this better than I do. Nature loves and takes care of all its elements: the animate, the vegetative, the animate and human levels. People who are close to nature feel it and understand this.
Of course, we are removed from it. A modern person does not feel or understand this. Nonetheless, we are in the global law of nature. This is why if we are going to study it, try to explain it to people and prove that in our times it is necessary to come to know nature for our own survival, then psychologists will have plenty of work and it will all be in the right direction.
A. Ulianov: Many thanks to you! This was an amazing talk! I've asked the same questions to many other people and this is the first time that I have heard simple, clear and easy to understand explanations. Big thank you!
M. Laitman: As soon as you have other questions, I will be here to answer them. Until next time and best of luck!
